Ashley has been working in emergency response for more than 10 years. She has worked on a variety of types and sizes of incidents at the national level such as East Palestine, Maui Wildfires, Hurricanes Irma/Maria, and Hurricane Sandy as well as many smaller, more localized responses from mystery oil spills to soap factory fires.
Edward Barba
DHS Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Agency (CISA), Chemical Security Inspector (CSI)
CSIs advise and assist facilities containing hazardous chemicals on security measures to reduce the risk of its chemicals being weaponized. For facilities covered under the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program per 6 CFR Part 27, this includes working with the highest risk chemical facilities to develop security plans and conduct inspections to ensure that security is in place.
Alan W. Hausman
President, Tree of Life Congregation
Alan has had leadership roles with numerous Jewish organizations including B’nai Brith, B’nai Brith Youth Organization, and Hillel the Jewish University Program. Alan also serves as the Congregation’s head usher and greets all congregants and visitors while assisting the Rabbi making sure services run smoothly.
Professionally, Alan has been in Public Safety for more than 35 years and currently works as an Emergency Management Specialist for the City of Pittsburgh Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security. In 2017 Alan received a “Distinguished Service” Award for being part of rescuing a lady trapped in flood waters. Also in 2017, Alan was the Chief of PA Strike Team 1 Urban Search and Rescue team. That year the team responded to the City of Washington, Pa where a woman was trapped in a collapsed building. Alan lead the rescue effort which lasted for more than six hours to successfully remove the victim from the collapsed building.

Detective David Miller

Dave started his Police career in January 1997 with the Carlisle Police Department and was blessed to hold various responsibilities from K9 handler to department training. He was a member of the Cumberland County Special Response Team for more than 24 years and spent the last several years as the Team Commander. Training / teaching opportunities grew over the years to positions with the regional Municipal Police Academy and the South Central Task Force. Dave retired from Carlisle Police Department in 2023 as a Lieutenant to take on a Detective position with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigative Division where he still works today.
