LEPC Summit 2021

The Cumberland County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) invites you to attend our 2021 SARA Summit on October 21, 2021 at the Army Heritage and Education Center (AHEC)  in Carlisle. Some of the responsibilities of a county LEPC, under the “Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act” (SARA) of 1986, are to do educational outreach, and to develop and promote local emergency preparedness programs. One of the ways that the Cumberland County LEPC does this is by conducting an annual “SARA Summit”.

This free event is a conference that brings together community leaders, industry representatives, and emergency responders to discuss community awareness, emergency planning, and emergency response as related to SARA facilities.

The SARA Summit, funded by our generous sponsors, provides an excellent opportunity to meet and interact with the various businesses and industries that either fall under the federal SARA Title III regulations or have responsibility for or possess an interest in emergency preparedness.

Both a continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for attendees.

NOTE:  This event is open to the general public but registration is required.
