The Cumberland County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will be holding its fifth annual LEPC Summit on October 13, 2023 at the Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle, PA.  The LEPC works with businesses and facilities to plan for potential emergencies that may impact or potentially shut down their operations. This Summit expands on the success of prior summits that brought business representatives, safety personnel and professionals together to hear a number of worthwhile presentations, primarily on SARA Title III reporting and planning. Past topics have included the impact of trains and rail on everyday life in Cumberland County, how to properly fill out required reporting forms, emergency planning, and what to do when first responders arrive.  This year's agenda is designed to cover not just SARA reporting/planning facilities, but other public and private facilities that fall outside the SARA reporting requirements.

 

The LEPC is seeking organizations that would like to partner in the Summit with us by providing sponsorship. Sponsorship is available at platinum ($2,000), gold ($1,000), silver ($500) and bronze ($250) levels.  All sponsorship levels provide an exhibitor space to showcase your services and speak to the  business professionals, compliance management, human resources staff, plant engineers and facility managers in attendance. You would also be able to speak to and interface with the county and municipality representatives as well as first responders in attendance about the services and/or products you can provide to them. The reality is that you don't want to meet your partners during a disaster, and participation in this event will allow you the opportunity to build strong relationships.
